Last week

Last week is mostly unavailable. We veggie voyaged up to Colby Mtn and camped by the fire lookout. The man who staffs it has worked at the lookout for 27 years... only 50 human staffed fire lookouts remain in California.
The next day we drove on some back roads and ended up biking then hiking to the summit of an unnamed peak that looked out to the ends of the world. That night we camped at Humbug Summit in a beautiful meadow.
My new camera takes great shots but I sure couldn't get the blog to work with them.

So, these are pictures of my final birthday celebration at Sipho's new Jamaican restaurant. Got in some nice visits with Andrea, Carmel and Lorie but best was being with Laurel and Weezie and then being joined by chef Sipho himself. He has a beautiful spirit and it comes across in his delicious food. So kind of Weezie and Laurel to give me gifts, flowers, cake plus so much love. I'm lucky. I know it.

We did have the old camera when we went out on the Sacramento last week. Saw vacated Riparia Riparia (bank swallow) nesting sites and had time for lunch along the banks...

So sorry I can't share photos from the Pastors for Peace dinner or some of the much better quality photos I have now... ironic that I can't post them... I'll experiment more as

we voyage and paddle and feast onward.
